Deepwater is located very close to the Delaware River in Salem County New Jersey.   Located nearby are Pennsville and Pennsgrove.   It is the home of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company. Many people from all over the world have come to live and work at this large facility. One important product made in ths facility is industrial dyes.

The historic township hall was designed by one of New Jersey’s premier architects.  This architectural treasure stands as testimony to the importance of Deepwater in annals of escellence.  People have been known to come from nearby Woodstown and Norma to tour this facility and to behold the beautiful views of the Delaware River that lie before them.

The main church in this enchanting crossroads is jam packed with parishioners every weekend.

In the early 1900’s many people came from Valle San Giovanni in Abruzzo, Italy to work here. A good number still live in the area.
